Obituary

Ashley Lynn Hubbell was born in Buffalo, Minnesota, on April 8, 1987, to Ken and Vicki Martin, Ashley brought light and warmth into the world from the very beginning. Baptized in May 1987 and confirmed in her faith in 2003, Ashley’s life was rooted in compassion, kindness, and a deep desire to help others. She pursued her passion for understanding and supporting people by earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College, followed by a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Augsburg University. Her dedication to mental health and well-being led her to co-found Aspire Counseling in Hutchinson, MN, in 2018, a place where her empathy and wisdom touched countless lives.

On April 18, 2009, Ashley married her soulmate, David, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure over 16 beautiful years. Whether they were camping under the stars, kayaking on peaceful waters, or enjoying a friendly game of bowling, Ashley and David cherished every moment together.

Ashley’s joy extended to the simple pleasures of life—curling up with a good book, building intricate Lego creations, and spending treasured time with her family. She shared a special bond with her father, restoring classic cars side by side, and was a devoted sister and beloved auntie who brought joy and creativity into every family gathering.

Ashley’s legacy of love and compassion lives on in those who survive her: her devoted husband David; her loving parents Ken and Vicki Martin; her sister Sarah Martin; Grandparents Karolyn Knox and Willie Arnold; Mother and Father-in-law Nancy and Jack Sawyer; brothers-in-law James Hubbell and Chris Hubbell; sister-in-law Jacklin (Kurt) Lemke; nieces Olivia and Teegan Levasseur and Kaelyn and Lydia Lemke; nephews Isaac Levasseur and Hunter (Grace) Lemke and Keegan Lemke; and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and clients whose lives she touched.

Ashley was preceded in death by her grandparents Karl Martin, Marlys Arnold and Bob Knox, and her Father-in-Law Dennis Hubbell.

Ashley’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
