Service Information

Audrey Schuette, age 86, of Brownton, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe, Minnesota.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton with interment in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Obituary

Audrey Darlene Schuette was born on November 12, 1932, in New Auburn, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Harold and Gertrude (Hahn) Rischmiller. She was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Auburn. She received her education in New Auburn and Glencoe, Minnesota and was a graduate of the Glencoe High School class of 1950.

On November 28, 1954, Audrey was united in marriage to Raymond Schuette at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Auburn. This marriage was blessed with 7 children, LaRue, Roxanne, Myron, Douglas, Mark, Lori Ann, and Scott. Audrey and Ray resided and farmed on the Schuette family farm until 1994. They then moved to their home in Brownton, which was built by their children. Audrey later moved to GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe. They shared 58 years of marriage until the passing of Ray on January 27, 2013.

Audrey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Audrey farmed for many years alongside her husband, Ray. Audrey and her sister-in-law, Eunice Schuette owned and operated their own painting business until her retirement in 2000.

Audrey enjoyed doing word search puzzles, watching television, baking, gardening, and canning. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church; she was actively involved in the Ladies Aid, serving many offices. She was also a member of the Brownton Women’s Club. Audrey especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

                  Lori Ann Marsh and her husband, Steve, of North Mankato, MN,
                  Myron Schuette and his wife, Kim, of Glencoe, MN,
                  Doug Schuette and his wife, Cindy, of Brownton, MN,
                  Scott Schuette and his wife, Genise, of Bemidji, MN;
Daughter-In-Law, Noreen Elstad of Kimball, MN;
22 Grandchildren;
30 Great-Grandchildren;
Brother, Wayne Rischmiller of Hutchinson, MN;
Sisters-In-Law, Eunice Schuette of Brownton, MN,
                             Dixie Rischmiller of Arlington, MN;

Many Other Relatives and Friends.

Audrey was preceded in death by her Parents, Harold and Gertrude Rischmiller; Husband, Raymond Schuette; Son, Mark Schuette; Brother, Dale Rischmiller; Sister-In-Law, Mavis Rischmiller; Brother-In-Law, Delmer Schuette.

    My deepest sympathy to the family! LoriAnn – I have so many wonderful memories from our weekend sleepovers. Your mom amazed me with her love, generosity and her laughter! We do find comfort in His Resurrection!

    My prayers are with you during this very difficult time. She was a very nice lady. I think she worked at Hands Inc too with me till they closed. May God bless you during this time of trouble.
