Service Information
Audrey Ide, age 96, of Lester Prairie, Minnesota, died on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 7, 2020, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, with interment following at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 6, 2020, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, and will continue one hour prior the service at the church on Friday.
Obituary
Audrey Mary Minnie (Smith) Ide was born on April 7, 1923, in Hamburg, Minnesota. She was the daughter of James and Helena (Scheele) Smith. She was baptized as an infant on April 22, 1923, and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on March 21, 1937, both by Rev. H. Bauman at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg, Minnesota. Audrey received her education in Hamburg, Minnesota, attending District 40 School thru the 8th grade.
On July 30, 1944, Audrey was united in marriage to Dennis Ide by Rev. L. Wohlfeil at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg, Minnesota. Audrey and Dennis made their home in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with three sons, Larry, Gerald and Keith. Audrey and Dennis shared over 60 years of marriage until Dennis passed away on November 29, 2004.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, Audrey worked at the Winsted Canning Factory in Winsted, Tonka Toys in Mound and cleaned homes for other families. She was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. As her ministry to the church, she proudly served on the LWML. Audrey was also a past member of the Lester Prairie American Legion Auxiliary Post #463.
Audrey held her church and faith very close to her heart. She enjoyed canning and her flower gardens, especially her red peonies. Audrey treasured the time spent with her family and friends.
Audrey passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 96 years, 9 months and 26 days.

Audrey is preceded in death by her Parents, James and Helena Smith; Husband, Dennis Ide; Sister, Vida Given and her husband, Robert; Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, Edwald and Alma Ide; Brothers-in-Law and Sister-in-Law, Hillard Ide, Vernon Ide, Verdella Bullert and her husband, Harold.

Audrey was a wonderful woman who helped me and my family for years. I was a young mom with four small children who needed her help. She arrived with a generous heart and kind spirit. We missed her when she moved on from our family. God bless her soul. She is joining my husband Dan in heaven , who passed away from ALS in October.
