Service Information
Bernett Schlueter, age 87, of Hutchinson passed away Monday, December 5, 2016, at the Hutchinson Health Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 11, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, with interment in the Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.
Obituary
Bernett Ella Schlueter was born on June 13, 1929, in Cedar Mills Township, Meeker County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Emil and ElsIe (Kaliebe) Schlueter. Bernett was baptized on June 30, 1929, by Reverend William Petske, and was later confirmed in her faith as youth on May 17, 1942, by Reverend A. C, Krueger, both at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mill Township. Bernett grew up in her home area of Cedar Mills Township, where she attended St. John’s Parochial School. She was a country girl and resided in Cedar Mills Township until the family moved to Hutchinson, Minnesota in 1947.
Bernett was employed by 3M in Hutchinson for 40 years. Bernett was a long time member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. She resided in Hutchinson at her home on Monroe Street.
Bernett was a very independent and self- reliant person. Her hobbies included tending to her flower and vegetable gardens and spending time outdoors, both at home in Hutchinson and up north in Hackensack, Minnesota. She always enjoyed her lunches with other 3M retirees and spending time with friends and family.
Bernett passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016, at the Hutchinson Health Hospital in Hutchinson, Minnesota, at the age of 87 years.

Bernett was preceded in death by her Parents, Emil and Elsie Schlueter, Sisters, Verona Kruse and her husband, Gerhardt, Mabel Schlueter; Brother-In-Law, Fred Kruse; Nephew, Dennis Hoff.
