Service Information
Betsy Rennecke, age 64, of Cosmos, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015, at her home.
Memorial Service will be Thursday, June 11, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos.
Interment in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Wednesday from 4:30 – 7:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday.
Obituary
Betsy Lynn Rennecke was born November 4, 1950, in Willmar to Laverne and Marlene (Lundquist) Gilhoi. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian. She was raised in Lake Lillian and attended grade school there before graduating from Bird Island High School in 1968.
Betsy graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1973, with a major in Spanish and a minor in French.
She married Tom Rennecke of Cosmos on September 21, 1974, and they have made their home in Cosmos since then.
Betsy enjoyed bowling, taking long walks around Cosmos in the summer, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by Tom; one daughter: Anna (and Josh) Fluck of Litchfield; one son: Andy (and Jessica) Rennecke of St. Joseph; three grandchildren: Elliot Fluck, Madelyn Fluck, and Matthew Rennecke; mother Marlene Brown and stepfather Charles Brown; one sister: Bridget (and Bob) Karg; other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Laverne Gilhoi, and sister Brenda (Gilhoi) Duffy.
