Obituary
Beverly Ann Graupmann was born October 8, 1940, at home in Biscay, Minnesota. She was the daughter of William and Irma (Krecklau) Uecker. Beverly was baptized as an infant on October 28, 1940, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota, and later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 11, 1954, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, Minnesota. She received her education in Gaylord and graduated with the Gaylord High School class of 1958.
Beverly was united in marriage to Elmer “Pete” Graupmann on October 25, 1963, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord by Rev. R. Marquardt. The couple made their home on Pete’s family farmstead in 1966. This union was blessed with two children, Amy and Scott. Beverly and Pete shared over 42 years together when Pete passed away on February 26, 2006.
Beverly was a loving homemaker and mother. She helped Pete on the farm. Beverly worked at MidCountry Bank in Waconia, Minnesota, for a number of years. Beverly had a strong faith in the Lord. She was a long-time member at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Plato, Minnesota, and served with their Women’s Guild for many years. In later years, she greatly enjoyed volunteering at the McLeod County Historical Society and Museum in Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Beverly was a “historian.” She enjoyed studying the history of her town, county, her church, and learning about her family genealogy. She enjoyed collecting antiques, specifically cookie cutters and dishware. Beverly also enjoyed gardening, dancing, listening to music at Music In The Park, and putting together puzzles. Time spent with family and friends was cherished greatly.
Beverly entered her eternal rest on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the age of 83 years, 7 months, and 2 days. Blessed be her memory.
