Beverly Schmidt, age 81, of Norwood Young America, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church in rural Hamburg, Minnesota, with interment at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 19, 2016, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church in rural Hamburg, Minnesota, and will continue one hour prior the service at the church on Saturday.
Obituary
Beverly Ann (Johnson) Schmidt was born on August 16, 1935, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Elof and Alice (Olson) Johnson. Beverly was baptized and confirmed on August 29, 1954, at Grace Lutheran Church for the deaf in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She received her education at a school in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
On September 17, 1955, Beverly was united in marriage to Arthur Schmidt at Aldrich Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Beverly and Arthur made their home in rural Norwood Young America, Minnesota, where they farmed together. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Dale and Larry. Beverly and Arthur shared over 60 years of marriage.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Beverly was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church in rural Hamburg, Minnesota.
Beverly was always happy, having a smile for everyone and loved spending time with her husband, Arthur. The couple enjoyed traveling and some of their memorable trips were to Hawaii, Mexico, and California. They treasured the times spent at Beverly’s family’s cabin. She enjoyed cooking, canning, recipe sharing and visiting with people. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends.
Beverly passed away on her birthday, Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, Minnesota, at the age of 81 years.

Sisters, Joyce Moffett and her husband, Harold, of Sauk Rapids, MN,
Marilyn Rosin and her husband, Richard, of Bloomington, MN;
Great Aunt, Esther Gunderson of Becker, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives and many friends.
Beverly is preceded in death by her Parents, Elof and Alice Johnson; Brother- in- law, Herbert Schmidt.
