Beverly Janke, age 86, of Glencoe, formerly of Brownton, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Glencoe Regional Health Services in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Memorial service will be held Monday, December 9, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment at a later date.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Sunday, December 8, 2019, from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Johnson McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota, and will continue one hour prior the service at the church on Monday.
Obituary
Beverly Elaine (Grunewaldt) Janke was born on August 5, 1933, in Brownton, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Edward and Hattie (Wilhelm) Grunewaldt. Beverly was baptized as an infant on August 20, 1933, by Rev. Kwalske at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on May 25, 1947, by Rev. Schmidt at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton, Minnesota. She received her education at Brownton High School, graduating with the class of 1951.
Beverly made her home in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was married on June 26, 1954 to Roger Janke. She was blessed with two children, Cindy and Mark. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked at Telex Communication and retired in 2005. Beverly was a member at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was also a member of the Brownton Auxiliary.
Beverly had a very special place in her heart for the many years of playing cards, especially her Bridge club. She enjoyed baking and reading through recipe books to find the next fun thing to bake for her family and friends. In her younger years, she enjoyed spear fishing with her sister and family. She was an avid writer of cards and letters to all that would correspond with her. She also loved dogs, especially her fury friend, JJ. Beverly cherished the time spent with her family and friends, especially her Sister, Gladys.
Beverly passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Glencoe Regional Health Services in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 29 days.

Beverly is preceded in death by her Parents, Edward and Hattie Grunewaldt; Sister, Gladys (Morris) Gasow; Many Brothers-in-law; Sister-in-law, cousins, family and friends.
