Beverly Lee, age 90, of Fairfax, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Oak Terrace Living Center in North Mankato, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Monday, January 23, 2017, from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Obituary
Beverly Ruth (Walrod) Lee was born on October 19, 1926, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. She was the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Robbinson) Walrod. Bev was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith. She received her education in Madelia, Minnesota.
On April 16, 1955, Bev was united in marriage to Gordon Lee Sr. Their union was blessed, raising a family of five wonderful boys in Camp Township. The Lee farm consisted of livestock, crops and a feed business. Bev was a loving mother and homemaker. In 1971, they built a new home in town and moved off the family farm that is still operated today by two of her sons. Gordon and Bev shared 58 years of marriage before Gordon passed away on December 15, 2013.
Bev was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax. She was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Ladies Aide.
Bev enjoyed painting, bowling, golfing, dancing, traveling, playing cards, and going to the lake with her family. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
When she needed assistance with her daily care, Bev became a resident of Oak Terrace Living Center in North Mankato and passed away there on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the age of 90 years. Blessed be her memory.

28 Great-Grandchildren;
1 Great-Great Granddaughter;
Sister-In-Law, Gwen Walrod;
Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bev was preceded in death by her Parents, Robert and Ruth Walrod; Husband, Gordon Lee Sr.; Sisters, Delores ‘Dee’ Hansen and Phyllis Snapp; and Brother, Robert Walrod.
