Obituary
Bonnietha (Bonnie) Katherine (Kamann) Templin was born on June 24, 1937, to Henry Lambert and Magdelena Katherine (Bressler) Kamann in Norwood, Minnesota. God called her to Himself on November 16, 2025. “For by Grace you have been saved through faith” (Ephesians 2:8). She was made a child of God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on July 18, 1937, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Bongards, MN. She reaffirmed her faith at her Confirmation at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Bongards on March 22, 1951, with Rev. Opperman officiating. Bonnie attended District 28 country school near Bongards through 7th grade, and then attended Norwood-Young America Central High School, where she graduated in 1955. After graduation, Bonnie attended Minneapolis Vocational School of Nursing and graduated in 1956 as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
On July 6, 1957, Bonnie married Harold Warren Templin at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Bongards, MN. They lived in Glencoe until 1958, when she moved to Augsburg, Germany, to be with Harold while he served in the US Army. Following Harold’s discharge in 1960, they began dairy farming on the Templin family farm in rural Glencoe. Bonnie continued her nursing career at Glencoe Hospital and Glenhaven Nursing Home, and furthered her education, graduating as a Registered Nurse from Normandale Community College in 1989. Bonnie worked at Glencoe Regional Health Services for 35 years, and then for many years as a volunteer. God blessed their marriage with two children, Charlotte Ann and Gary Lee. Bonnie & Harold shared 68 years of marriage together.
Bonnie was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she was an active member of LWML, served on the Altar Guild, various committees, sang in the church choir, taught Sunday School, and helped with VBS. She was also involved in the VFW Auxillary, volunteered at area elementary schools, Bethesda Thrift Store, and Glenfield’s Living with Care.
Bonnie’s loves were first and foremost her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her family, and her profession. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She and Harold enjoyed traveling, dancing, antiquing, and playing cards. Bonnie loved to laugh, sing, play the piano and organ, read, sew, crochet, cook, and garden.

I was doing some housework last week, when all of a sudden God put Bonnie & Charlotte on my heart. So I said a prayer for them. It’s been decades since I’ve seen either of them. God knows what we need at just the right time. I worked at Glenhaven years ago, while I was in high school. Bonnie was one of my favorite supervisors. She was so kind and supportive. And funny! She always had a smile on her face. I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending love and continued prayers to the family.
