Obituary

Caleb Derek Erickson was born in Hutchinson, Minnesota, on September 9, 1989, to Renee Farenbaugh and Scott Erickson. Caleb attended Hutchinson High School. He worked in manufacturing and construction and enjoyed helping his grandparents on their family farm during his younger years.

On June 7, 2016, Caleb married Lydia Gerads (Erickson), and together they had two beautiful children, Avalyn and Brooksten. Though Caleb and Lydia later divorced, they remained dedicated parents to their children, who were the center of Caleb’s world.

Caleb was known for his adventurous spirit and heart of gold. He was courageous, strong-willed, and deeply loved by many. His big smile, warm presence, and sparkling blue eyes left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He found joy in the outdoors and in time spent with those he loved—whether it was hunting, riding his motorcycle, trap shooting, ice fishing, or simply being with his kids, family, and friends.

Caleb is survived by his daughter Avalyn and son Brooksten Erickson; his mother, Renee Farenbaugh; and his brother, Nigel Erickson (Everley; niece). He will be forever missed and remembered with love.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Isaak Erickson; his uncle, Derek Farenbaugh; his grandparents, Donny and Sharen Farenbaugh, and Gordon Erickson; as well as his grandmother, Patricia Fimon. Caleb carried their memory with him always.
