Obituary

Carol Mae (Stuedemann) Heldt was born on February 27, 1943, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Albert and Lillian (Dierfeldt) Stuedemann. Carol was baptized as an infant on May 21, 1943, by Rev. H. H. Schaller and was later confirmed in her faith on May 26, 1957, by Rev. Karl Plocher both at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helen Township, Glencoe, Minnesota. Her confirmation verse was Psalm 111:10. Carol received her education in Glencoe, Minnesota, graduating with the Glencoe High School Class of 1961.

On August 24, 1961, Carol was united in marriage to Dennis Theodore Heldt by Rev. Karl Plocher at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helen Township, Glencoe, Minnesota. Carol and Dennis made their home in rural Norwood Young America, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Cindy and Darvin. Carol and Dennis shared almost 57 years of marriage.

In addition to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, Carol worked at Medallion Kitchen in production until retiring in 2007. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie where she served on the LWML.

Carol enjoyed embroidering, quilting, gardening and dancing with Dennis. She treasured the time spent with friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carol passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted, Minnesota, at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 10 days.
