Carolyn L. Abrahamson, age 87, of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 7, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, with interment in Mound Cemetery in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Carolyn Luella Abrahamson was born June 7, 1936 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Carl and Byrdie (Blanding) Barklind. Carolyn received her education in St Paul.
On May 9, 1959, Carolyn was united in marriage to John Abrahamson, in St Paul. They moved to Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, where their marriage was blessed with one child, Steven Abrahamson. In Brooklyn Center, her family made many great memories and Carolyn lived in the same home until she passed.
Carolyn loved recording happy memories at church services, birthdays, and other important events by either typing up a transcript of the event or taking several photos. She also loved passing on those memories to those she enjoyed them with.
Carolyn is survived by her
Son, Steven Abrahamson and his wife Rochelle;
Two grandchildren, Angela (Tyler) Russell and Logan Abrahamson;
Two great-grandchildren who brought her much joy, Ames and Amory Russell;
Brothers Dan Barklind,
Charles Barklind;
Many other relatives and friends.
Caroyln is preceded in death by her Parents Carl and Byrdie Barkland; Husband, John Abrahamson; Brother Kenneth Barklind.
