Carrie J. Simonette

Obituary

Carrie Jean Simonette was born on December 7, 1956, in Saint Peter, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Roger and Mary (Bauer) Simonette. Carrie was baptized as an infant and confirmed as a youth in the Catholic faith. She received her education in Le Center, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the McKinley High School class of 1975.

Carrie and her lifelong partner Jim, faced life challenges with courage, finding homes wherever the road led. They were blessed with three children, Rayne, Tossanna, and Kalem. After Jim passed away in 1996, Carrie moved to Hutchinson, Minnesota.

Carrie was self-employed as a residential painter. She was lovingly known as the “crazy” grandma. Carrie had a quirky sense of humor and a big heart. She loved animals (especially her cats), spending time with her family and grandchildren, playing bingo, camping, watching old westerns, and going to garage sales. She enjoyed summer and attending local parades and county fairs.

Carrie passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, at the age of 68 years.
