Clarence Joseph Wendinger age 87, of Fairfax, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at his home in Fairfax.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 2nd, 11:00 A.M. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, February 1st, from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. A Prayer Service will be at 4:00 P.M. with a sharing of memories. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Obituary
Clarence Joseph Wendinger was born on July 23, 1928, in Fairfax, Minnesota. He was the son of Frank and Rosella (Pfeiffer) Wendinger. Clarence was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax. He received his education in Fairfax and was a graduate of Fairfax High School.
On August 27, 1951, Clarence was united in marriage to Marilyn Wolterman in Fairfax. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Cairo Township, where he raised crops, feeder cattle and hogs. Clarence and Marilyn were blessed with six children and they shared 64 years of marriage.
Clarence was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax and served on the Church Board.
Clarence enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating and being on the lake, vegetable gardening, walking in the woods and watching wildlife. He loved horses, World War II history and western movies. Clarence loved spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Clarence passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at his home in Fairfax at the age of 87 years. Blessed be his memory.
