Obituary

Colleen Theresa Pederson was born on January 4, 1956, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Edmund and Lorraine (Guendner) Meidl. Colleen received her education in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the St. Mary’s Catholic High School class of 1974.

On September 10, 1976, Colleen was united in marriage to Roman Seifert at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. This marriage was blessed with two children, Laura and Jason. Colleen and Roman resided in rural New Ulm, Minnesota. They shared 38 years of marriage until Roman passed away on June 28, 2013.

Colleen was united in marriage to Randy Pederson on January 4, 2019, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart, Minnesota. Colleen and Randy resided at Lake Allie of rural Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. They shared six years of marriage.

Colleen loved to help on the farm. She was also employed at Del Monte in Sleepy Eye, Carl’s Corner in Essig, and Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center in Buffalo Lake. Colleen was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart, Minnesota Wings Motorcycle Club and the Buffalo Lake Lion’s Club.

Colleen enjoyed riding horses in her younger years, playing cards, and gardening. She liked taking extensive motorcycle rides with Randy, touring 20 states. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

Colleen passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center in Buffalo Lake, at the age of 69 years.
