Obituary
Corey Anthony Karg was born on November 6, 1982, in Waconia, Minnesota. He was the son of Delbert and Bonnie (Jochum) Karg. He was baptized as an infant at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Glencoe, Minnesota, and later confirmed in his faith as a youth at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. Corey received his education in Hutchinson and went on to earn his Electrician Degree from Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis.
Corey lived most of his life in Hutchinson and recently made his home in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
A skilled electrician and handyman, Corey worked on various projects throughout his career. He remained a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson.
Corey was a man of many passions and a generous heart. He found peace in the outdoors—whether sitting quietly in the woods on a hunt or casting a line while fishing. He also had a deep well of creativity, often expressing himself through music and art. He loved playing guitar and found joy in drawing and sketching.
At the heart of Corey’s life was love—for his family, his friends, and his beloved dogs, Alice and Benny, who were more than pets; they were loyal companions and sources of constant comfort, and unconditional love. His nieces and nephews brought him pure joy, and his pride in them was clear to all who knew him.
Corey had a rare gift for connection and a big heart. He was the kind of person you could talk to for hours—kind, thoughtful, and genuinely interested in others. Whether sharing a laugh or offering quiet support, he made people feel understood and valued. His easygoing nature, thoughtful presence, and sincere interest in others left a lasting impression.
He will be remembered for his generous spirit and easy conversation. He lived with quiet strength and a deep sense of care for those around him.
Corey passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at The Lodge of Eden Prairie, at the age of 42.
His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled—but the memories he gave us—the stories, the songs, the sketches, and the smiles—will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Blessed be his memory.
