Obituary

Curtis Glenn Roiger was born June 12, 1961, in Olivia, Minnesota, the son of Glendon and Marie (Sellner) Roiger. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hector. Curt grew up in Buffalo Lake where he attended school, and graduated from the Buffalo Lake High School with the Class of 1980.

After school he started working at Midwest Bean Company in Hector. In 1984, Curt went to work at Mid America Plastics in Shakopee, Minnesota as a machinist, and later as a programmer. Curt’s co-workers became a second family to him; many of them are still working together today 30-plus years later.  In June of 2016, he went to work for Aeromat Plastics, a company started by a friend in his work family. Curt loved his job, was proud to be asked to join the Aeromat team, and dedicated to making this new business grow.

On January 25, 2002, Curt was united in marriage to Dana Wiggert in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were blessed with three children, Joseph, Jacob, and Shelby. Curt enjoyed being on the farm where he and Dana could raise their children in the country. He enjoyed playing dice and games with his family, taking some family trips exploring the country, and simply spending time with his family. He enjoyed life, was proud of his children, and was deeply loved by his wife and children.

Curt is survived by his:

Wife, Dana Roiger, of Buffalo Lake;

Children: Joseph Roiger, Jacob Roiger, and Shelby Roiger, of Buffalo Lake;

Brother, David Roiger and his wife Becky, of Lake Lillian;

Sisters: Laura Roiger of Denver, Colorado,
            Cheryl Ewer and her husband Larry of Bismarck., North Dakota,
            Yvonne Anderson and her husband Bart of Chisago City, Minnesota;

Brother-in-law, Dean Wiggert of Buffalo Lake;

Sister-in-law, Dawn Swanson and her husband Brad of Buffalo Lake;

nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Marie Roiger, his brother, Patrick Roiger, and by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arlo and Sharon Wiggert.

    Dear Dana, Joe, Jake and Shelby~
    My heart is heavy and truly aches for your huge loss. I feel so fortunate to have known Curt and to have experienced just a small portion of the love that your precious family had and continues to have for your each other. You have definitely been blessed in your years together, but there just weren’t enough of them….there never are when we lose someone we deeply love. Please know that I wish I could be there with you, to hold you and cry with you. I am praying for comfort and peace for all of you as you struggle through the days and weeks ahead~ my sympathies to Dean, Dawn and Brad as well as Curt’s brother and sisters. I know Curt will leave a void in the lives of the many people who knew and loved him~
    Much love from my heart to yours~ Jo
