Cynthia “Cindy” Ackerson

Obituary

Cynthia “Cindy” Rachel (Schade) Ackerson was born August 24, 1972, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Gene and Sophie (Kucera) Schade. She grew up in Glencoe, with her older sister, Sue. Cindy attended the Glencoe High School.   

In April of 1991, she gave birth to her eldest daughter, Ashley, and in June of 1993, she gave birth to her only son, Stephan. In February of 1999, she married her husband, Lynn Ackerson. The couple later divorced in 2010. In July 1999, she gave birth to her second daughter, Paige. In June of  2000, she gave birth to her youngest daughter, Bbeca.

Cindy lived in Glencoe for most of her life with her four children, where she supported them in their school extracurriculars such as football, speech, art, and choir. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed gardening, camping, art, and traveling with her children. Cindy was always welcoming to everybody and always had an open door to her home for those who needed it.

Cindy passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at home in Silver Lake, Minnesota at the age of 51.

Daughter, Ashley Mendoza, and her husband, Cesar Mendoza, and their 3 children, Franco, Gustavo, and Ricardo;
Son, Stephan Lorenz, and his partner, Mariah Kohn, and their children Sophia and Azaelia;
Daughter, Paige Ackerson, and her partner, Gonzalo Vasquez Rios;
Daughter, Rebbeca “Bbeca” Ackerson, and her partner Adam Cross;
Sister, Susan Stradtmann and her husband, Lance Stradtmann;
Niece, Savannah Stradtmann;
Nephew, Trevor Stradtmann;
Uncle, John (Jackie) Kucera Jr.;
Aunt, Gladys Casey;
Other relatives and close friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Sophie Schade;  maternal grandparents, John Sr. and Amelia Kucera; paternal grandparents, Walter and Selma Schade, and several aunts and uncles.
