Obituary

Darlene Erna (Wacker) Raduenz was born on May 14, 1939, in Green Isle, Minnesota.  She was the daughter of Emil and Louise (Baessler) Wacker.  Darlene was baptized as an infant on May 27, 1939, by Pastor Rattmann, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 21, 1953, by Pastor Arndt both at Zion Lutheran Church in Green Isle, Minnesota.  She received her education at a country school. 

On October 12, 1956, Darlene was united in marriage to Darwin Raduenz by Pastor Malotky at the church parsonage in Green Isle, Minnesota.  This marriage was blessed with five children, Roger, Linda, Gary, Kevin and Kathy.  Darlene grew up in Green Isle and Arlington, Minnesota.  The couple moved to Glencoe, Minnesota, in 1960, and then in 1965, made their home on their hobby farm. They shared over 55 years of marriage until Darwin passed away on February 21, 2012.

Darlene was a housewife while her children were growing up.  She then was employed at Green Giant, Tonka Toys and in the dietary department at Glencoe Regional Health Services. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota.

Darlene enjoyed her cats, crocheting, gardening, word puzzles and spending time up north where she had land.   She especially cherished the time spent with her family and friends.  

Darlene passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017, at Glencoe Regional Health Services in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 78 years, 2 months and 21 days.
