Daun Marie Bock

Obituary

Daun Marie (Sparks) Bock was born on February 20, 1943, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was the oldest of three children of Robert and Helen (Iten) Sparks. Daun was baptized as an infant, had her First Communion and Confirmation as a youth, all at St. Vincent de Paul in Osseo. She grew up in Osseo, Minnesota. She attended elementary school at St. Vincent de Paul in Osseo and attended high school in Crookston, Minnesota, graduating from Mount St. Benedict Class of 1961.

On June 23, 1962, Daun was united in marriage to Robert Herrmann. This marriage was blessed with two children, Allen Herrmann and Heidi (Herrmann) Tague. Daun was employed at Norwest Bank, later known as Wells Fargo in the documentation department in Northeast Minneapolis and later Detroit Lakes.

On August 12, 1983, Daun was united in marriage to Michael Bock. They raised all of their children in Fridley. In 1999, they moved to their farm near Henning, Minnesota.

Daun enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, canning, knitting, reading, puzzles, baking and cooking for family. She loved Christmas. Daun cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and their dogs. Daun was so giving of herself, to anyone she found.  Her generosity will always be remembered.

Daun is preceded in death by her Parents, Robert and Helen Sparks; Brothers, Peter Sparks, John Sparks, Greg Sparks; many Grandparents and other loved ones.
