Obituary

David was born on February 1, 1970, in Minneapolis, the middle of eight children of William "Bill" and Joan (Mortenson) Streeter. When David was young, his family moved to Hassan Valley Township, where he grew up and later graduated with the Hutchinson High School Class of 1988. In high school, he wrestled and played football.

On October 6, 1989, David married his high school sweetheart, Laura (Triplett). Together they raised three children—Hannah, Mckenna, and Oakley. The family lived in Washington for a short time before returning to David's childhood home in Hassan Valley Township, where David and Laura set down lasting roots. David worked as a flooring contractor for most of his life, taking pride in a job well done and in providing for his family. In later years, he also volunteered at the McLeod County Food Shelf.

David was a hardworking, genuine man who shared freely of his time, energy, and heart. He was friendly and approachable, never missing a chance to lend a hand or catch up with others. With his wonderfully goofy sense of humor, he loved making people laugh. Known for his kindness and generosity, David was the type of person who would truly give you the shirt off his back.

He is survived by his wife, Laura; his children, Hannah (Austin) Paolillo, Mckenna (Joe) Busche, and Oakley (McKennan) Streeter; his grandchildren, Evelyn, Beatrice, Julius, Lucille, Cecilia, Teddy, Neil, Mabel, and Vivian; and his siblings, Joseph Streeter, Maria (Dean Schreiner) Vokal, Terri (Mike) Crowell, Mike Streeter, Rose (Lukáš) Sliva, Christina Mitts, and Patti Streeter; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Joan Streeter; and his nephew, Casey Vokal.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
