David Ivan Prahl

Obituary

David Ivan Prahl was born on October 27, 1962, in Arlington, Minnesota. He was the son of Ivan and Darlene (Hardel) Prahl. David was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith, both at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley Township. He was a graduate of Arlington/Green Isle High School. He furthered his education at truck driving school.

David resided in various places, including Arlington and the Gaylord area, and he lived on the farm until 1999 when he moved into Arlington. He actively farmed with his dad from the late 1980s until 1988; was a truck driver and drove semi.

David loved collecting toy tractors, toy cars and tools.

When he needed assistance with his care, David became a resident of Bethany Good Samaritan Society in Brainerd, Minnesota, and passed away there on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the age of 62 years. Blessed be his memory.

David is survived by his:
Sister, Debbie Colter of Mankato, MN
Brother-in-law, Patrick “Pat” Klaers of Arlington, MN;
Aunts, Ruth Prahl of Le Sueur, MN, and Lucy Carlson of West St. Paul, MN;
Many, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

David was preceded in death by his Parents, Ivan and Darlene Prahl; Sister, Sandy Klaers; Brother-in-law, Robert Colter.
