David L. Jensen

Obituary

David Lynn Jensen was born on December 24, 1962, in Springfield, Minnesota. He was the son of Lowell and Carol (Jacobsen/Jensen) Otto. David was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth in Springfield. He received his education in Hutchinson, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School. David furthered his education at Ridgewater College in Hutchinson for Diesel Mechanic.

On April 23, 1983, David was united in marriage to Kay Kottke at Grace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. This marriage was blessed with three children, Kelly, Paul, and Joseph. David and Kay resided in Hutchinson and shared 18 years of marriage until Kay passed away on September 19, 2001.

David worked at K-Way Trucking in Winsted, Minnesota as a Mechanic and later at Otto Express Trucking in Stewart, Minnesota. He worked as a Mechanic and truck driver for many years.  

David was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.

David loved his grandchildren and puppies Lily and Bruiser. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings and wrestling, having coffee with his friends, going on trips to the North Shore, outdoor recreation, and watching his granddaughter’s soccer games.

David passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, at the age of 57 years.

Mother, Carol Ann Otto (Jacobsen/ Jensen) of Arden Hills, MN;
Sister, Debbie Crosby and her husband, Dale, of Maplewood, MN;
Step-Brother, Darrold Otto of Stewart, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.

David is preceded in death by his Father, Lowell Jensen; Wife, Kay Jensen; Brother, Greg Jensen; Step-Father, Art Otto and Grandparents.
