Service Information
David Victor Worth, age 52, passed away at his home in Fairfax, Minnesota, on March 18, 2021.
Immediate family will hold services with military honors on March 27, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Services will be available via livestream on the Facebook page for Our Saviors-Central Lutheran Church in Fairfax, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
For individuals wishing to attend the visitation in person, social distancing and masks will be required.
A celebration of life will be held this summer in Lake Benton, Minnesota.
Memorials preferred to your local VFW, American Legion or the New Ulm Medical Center Oncology Department.
Obituary
David was born on November 19, 1968, in Tyler, Minnesota, to Leonard and Kathryn (Rasmussen) Worth. He graduated from Redwood Falls-Morton High School in 1987. Subsequently he spent 21 years in the National Guard with one year of deployment in Kosovo. He enjoyed active participation in the VFW and Legion. David’s career focused around agriculture ending with Central Region Cooperative where he appreciated their support throughout his illness.
On December 10, 2020, David married the love of his life Glenda Sampson. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching and attending Wild hockey games, and small excursions with Glenda. Family time was very important to David, especially during the holidays. David had a great attitude, even throughout his courageous battle with cancer he had the ability to make others laugh and feel welcome.
David is survived by his:
wife, Glenda Worth;
mother, Kathryn Worth;
sister, Sarah (Brian) Mittelstadt;
niece and nephew, Annie and Martin Mittelstadt.
He is also survived by long-time friend and fellow trouble-maker Mike Jensen.
David was preceded in death by his father Leonard Worth, his grandparents, Clarence and Evelyn Worth, Neoma Rasmussen, Uncle Keith Rasmussen; and Aunt Barb Halsne.
