Service Information
Delford R. Kiecker, age 94, of Fairfax passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at South View Living Center in Gibbon.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 22, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Wellington Township, Renville County, Minnesota, with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Obituary
Delford Richard Kiecker was born on March 17, 1931, on the farm in Wellington Township, Renville County. Delford was the son of Herman and Frieda (Habeck) Kiecker. He was baptized as an infant on April 12, 1931, at Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wellington Township. Delford was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and completed eighth grade at Emanuel Lutheran School.
Delford married his wife, Agnes Liebl, on April 7, 1967. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Wellington Township and their farm was a Century Farm. In the coming years, they were blessed with six children, and they shared 58 years of married life.
Delford was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Wellington Township. He served on the church council for many years and helped start the Emanuel pancake and sausage breakfast.
Delford enjoyed farming, playing cards, especially sheepshead and pinochle, shaking dice, dancing, listening to the Minnesota Twins while sitting on the front yard swing, fishing, bowling, long drives and spending February’s in Arizona. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
When he needed assistance with his care, Delford became a resident of South View Living Center in Gibbon and passed away there on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the age of 94 years. Blessed be his memory.

Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sophie Kiecker, Evelyn Schroedl, Marge Liebl, Gerald (Diane) Liebl, Cathy (Darrel) Graff;
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Delford was preceded in death by his Parents, Herman and Frieda Kiecker; Son, Wade Kiecker; Brother, Elmer Kiecker; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Delores (Dwane) Haus, Lorraine (Clifford) Buboltz, Dorothy (Kenneth) Wendlandt, Marion (Jerald) Wendlandt; In-laws, Ralph Liebl, Patrick (Judy) Liebl, Clarence Schroedl.
