Obituary

Dellas Louise (Feltmann) VonBerge was born on March 31, 1943, in Young America, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Melvin and Berdella (Farber) Feltmann. Dellas was baptized as an infant on April 18, 1943, by Rev. Kramer and later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 14, 1957, by Rev. Raedeke both at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota. She received her education in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, graduating with the Central High School Class of 1961.

On July 20, 1963, Dellas was united in marriage to Earl VonBerge by Rev. Reith at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota. Dellas and Earl made their home on their farm west of Green Isle, Minnesota, for 34 years and then moved to Glencoe in 1999. Their life was blessed with seven children, Steve, Kara, Barb, Lori, Cheryl, David and Bill. Dellas and Earl shared over 55 years of marriage.

In addition to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, Dellas helped on the farm. She also cooked for the Glencoe Silver Lake School District for 25 years. She was a member at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe.

Dellas was very organized. She enjoyed singing, flower and vegetable gardening, canning and cooking.  Dellas always made sure she had fresh baked cookies for the grandchildren. Dellas treasured the time spent with her family, cousins and friends.

Dellas passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 2 days.
