Service Information
Delmer William Ziemann, age 80, of Stewart, Minnesota, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee.
Memorial Service will be Monday, September 9, 2024, 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Fernando with interment in the church cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be one hour prior to the service at church on Monday.
Obituary
Delmer William Ziemann was born on July 26, 1944, in Glencoe, Minnesota, to Milo and Agnes (Henke) Ziemann. He was baptized as an infant and confirmed in his faith as a youth at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Fernando, Minnesota. He received his education and graduated with the Class of 1962 at Stewart High School.
Delmer grew up and stayed living on the family farm south of Stewart in Round Grove Township. He worked driving truck for Fairway Construction in Hector and heavy equipment with Meeker Sand and Gravel. In retirement Delmer assisted Kokesch Family Farms.
He liked playing cards, fishing, hunting, and golfing. He liked socializing at local establishments and helping out friends and farmers. Delmer was a quiet, gentle and very kind hearted man.
Delmer passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at the age of 80 years at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, Minnesota. Blessed be his memory.
Delmer is survived by his:
Father, Milo Ziemann;
Brother, Gerhard Ziemann and his wife, Sandra; Niece, Michelle Nordman and her children, Collin and Alisha; Niece, Jacqueline Diepold and her husband, Randy and their children, Emmitt, Payton and Dylan; Niece, Racquel Kiecker and her husband, Don and their children, Olivia and Landon;
Sister, Eileen Wittman; Niece, Jennifer Wittman and her child, Jade Wittman;
Many cousins and friends.
Delmer was preceded in death by his Mother, Agnes (Henke) Ziemann; Nephews, Christopher Ziemann and Jeffrey Ziemann; Grandparents, Arthur and Olga (Schmidt) Henke and William and Anna (Brede) Ziemann.
