Service Information
Dennis Lund, age 72, of Fairfax passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022, at his home in Fairfax.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 26, 2022, 10:30 A.M. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax with interment in Fort Ridgely Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2022, from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax and will continue one hour prior to the service, ALL at church.
Military Honors by the Fairfax Honor Guard.
Obituary
Dennis Ervin Lund was born on June 7, 1949, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. He was the son of Ervin and Delores (Podratz) Lund. Dennis was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax. He received his education in Fairfax and was a graduate of the Fairfax High School Class of 1967.
On February 14, 1968, Dennis entered active military service and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 60, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Bronze Star Medal. Dennis was Honorably Discharged on February 13, 1974, having achieved the rank of SP4.
On June 7, 1970, Dennis was united in marriage to JoDell “Jodi” LaFramboise at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax. Dennis and Jodi lived in Fairfax since the time Dennis was discharged from active duty. They were blessed with two sons, Troy and Shawn. Dennis most recently was employed as a truck driver for CHS (Cenex Harvest States) and Tom Palmer farms. Dennis and Jodi celebrated 51 years of marriage last June.
Dennis was a life member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax.
Dennis was an enthusiastic fisherman and deer hunter. He also enjoyed gardening, sharing his harvests, daily coffee at Smokey Hollow and playing cards. Dennis cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Dennis passed away at his home on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the age of 72 years. Blessed be his memory.

Wife, JoDell “Jodi” Lund of Fairfax, MN;
Sons, Troy Lund and his wife, Sandra of Schaumburg, IL, and
Shawn Lund and his significant other, Jolene Wilson of Hutchinson, MN;
Grandchildren, Christopher Lund, Andrew Lund, Preston Lund;
Sister, Sandra Lund of Sleepy Eye, MN;
Brother, Kyle Lund of Fairfax, MN;
Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his Parents, Delores and Ervin Lund; and Sister-in-law, Shirley Becker.
