Doris A. Marquardt, age 87, of Fairfax passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 28, 2026, 11:00 A.M. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Obituary
Doris Ann Marquardt was born on June 21, 1938, in Easton, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Charles and Louise (Echle) Linder. Doris was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her youth, both at Our Lady of Mt. Caramel Catholic Church in Easton, Minnesota. She received her education in Wells, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the Wells High School class of 1956. Doris graduated from Mankato Cosmetology School in Mankato in 1957.
On October 18, 1958, Doris was united in marriage to Myron “Mark” Marquardt at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple lived and worked in Waseca, moved to Mankato and then Cambridge where she owned and operated The Maiden Lane Shop in Cambridge. Doris and Mark were blessed with four children, Brian, Judi, Chris and Vickie. The couple moved to Fairfax in 1964, where Mark purchased a Barber shop. Doris worked for Pricilla Miklos a short time, until Pricilla closed and sold the inventory to Doris where she started a shop with her husband, The Mark IV in Fairfax. Doris and Mark shared 66 years of marriage when Mark passed away on May 20, 2025.
Doris was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax, the Ladies Aid, Christian Mother’s, and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #205 in Fairfax.
Doris enjoyed crafts, reading, cooking, flowers, camping, and traveling. She loved spending time with her family, quilting, and taking care of the history book at church.
Doris was a resident of Ridgeway on 23rd in New Ulm and passed away at the New Ulm Medical Center on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the age 87 years. Blessed be her memory.

Grandchildren, Shawn Marquardt, Tara Marquardt, Kelsey Vorwerk, Brittany Jackson, Kristin Ikert, Mitchel Lang, Stephani Jandl, Whitney Jandl, Melanie Anderson, Jacob Davidson, Malorie Sanderson;
Great-grandchildren, Greta, Otis, Aviana, Gus, Cora, Chloe, Evelyn, Drake, Kellen, Addilynn, Emerson, Charli, Theo and Finn;
Sister, Bernice Giese and her husband, Frank of Aurora, CO;
Brother, Robert Linder and his wife, Peggy of Easton, MN;
Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her Parents, Charles and Louise Linder; Husband, Mark Marquardt; Great-grandson, Zevian Toffolla; Daughter-in-law, Kristi Marquardt; Brothers, Harold Linder, Joe Linder and his wife, Jan; Brother-in-law, John Ferguson.
