Obituary
Doris Ann Moses was born on December 14, 1930, in New Ulm, Minnesota, to Joseph and Mary (Kahs) Regner. She was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth. Her Catholic faith was very important to her. She received her education at a country school near Bernadotte and Holy Trinity in New Ulm.
On June 30, 1956, Doris was united in marriage to Daryl Moses at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Gaylord. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Madelia and Lake Crystal. In 1967, they moved to Dryden Township, Sibley County. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. This union was blessed with seven children, Tom, Pat, Jerry, Mark, John, Kathy, and Robert. Doris was a hard worker and worked on the farm most of her life, and retired from milking cows in the 1980’s. She had several jobs after that, one being Arlington Technical in Arlington for 8 ½ years. Doris moved to town in 2012. Doris and Daryl shared 57 years of marriage when Daryl passed away on February 24, 2014.
Doris was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Gaylord.
Doris enjoyed sewing, making quilts, gardening (she had a green thumb), cooking, baking, and entertaining guests. She also enjoyed polka music, traveling, and she loved her dogs. Doris cherished the time she spent with family, especially the grandchildren.
When she needed assistance with her care, Doris became a resident of Old Main Village in Mankato. Doris passed away surrounded by her loving family at the Good Samaritan Society in Arlington on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at the age of 93 years, 3 months, and 26 days. Blessed be her memory.
