Service Information
Douglas Floyd Trnka, age 67, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be Thursday, April 3, 2025, 1:00 P.M. at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, with interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Glencoe.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be one hour prior to the service.
Obituary
Douglas “Doug” Floyd Trnka was born on October 14, 1957, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the eldest child born to Theodore and Marlys (Alsleben) Trnka. Doug grew up on a farm north of Glencoe and attended Glencoe schools.
Doug became an excellent welder and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a hardworking man, endowed with a tender heart and a smile-provoking personality. He retired, at 62, from Pro Form in Winsted, Minnesota.
Doug Trnka will forever be WELDED into the hearts and memories of many.
Doug is survived by his:
Wife, Carolyn (St. John) Trnka;
Son, Daric Trnka and his wife, Ginger;
Daughter, June Trnka;
Stepson, Robert Weirauch;
Stepdaughter, Jenny Voight and her husband, Don;
Granddaughters, Abigail Trnka, Leah Snyder (Trnka), and Helena Trnka;
Step-Grandchildren, Michael Ackland, Emily Rothmeier;
3 Great-Grandchildren;
Mother, Marlys “Granny” Trnka;
Brothers, Wade Trnka and his wife, Mary, and Bradley Trnka and his wife, Stephanie;
Sister, Cheryl Trnka;
Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives and Friends.
Doug was preceded in death by his Father, Theodore (Ted) Trnka; Brother, Boyd Trnka; Grandparents, James and Lillian (Charney) Trnka, and Fred and Irene (Voight) Alsleben; Stepson, Paul Weirauch.
