Obituary

Elaine Elizabeth Schultz was born on February 13, 1933, in St. James, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Charles “Raymond” and Mildred (Monroe) Survis. Elaine was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at the Methodist Church in Fairmont, Minnesota. She was initiated as an adult into the Catholic Faith at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Elaine received her education in Fairmont and was a graduate with the Fairmont High School class of 1951.

On January 31, 1953, Elaine was united in marriage to Donald Francis Schultz at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. This marriage was blessed with three children, Michael, Steven, and Susan. Elaine and Donald resided in Estherville, Iowa, and later moved to Hutchinson, Minnesota. They shared 68 years of marriage.

On January 31, 1953, Elaine was united in marriage to Donald Francis Schultz at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. This marriage was blessed with three children, Michael, Steven, and Susan. Elaine and Donald resided in Estherville, Iowa, and later moved to Hutchinson, Minnesota. They shared 68 years of marriage.

Elaine was a wonderful homemaker while also working at the SuperValu Grocery Store. She retired in 1983. Elaine was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. She was also a member of a cochlear implant support group.

Elaine enjoyed visiting with the residents and volunteering at Burns Manor while doing their hair. She also enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, crafts, reading, volunteering at church, camping, and traveling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

Elaine passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Hutchinson Health in Hutchinson, at the age of 88 years.
