Obituary

Elaine Louise Lydia (Alsleben) Bussler was born on May 6, 1934, in Glencoe, Minnesota.  She was the daughter of Alfred and Alma (Hahn) Alsleben.  Elaine was baptized as an infant on  May 20, 1934 and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth  both at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Auburn, Minnesota.  She received her education in Glencoe. 

On July 6, 1951, Elaine was united in marriage to Duane Bussler at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Auburn, Minnesota.  Elaine and Duane made their home in rural Glencoe, Minnesota.  Their marriage was blessed with six children, Allan, Byron, Curt, Amy, Todd and Bruce.  Elaine and Duane shared over 69 years of marriage, until Duane passed away on January 13, 2021. 

Elaine was a homemaker and also worked at Nature Fresh, SuperValu and the bakery all in Glencoe and also a waitress at Lake Marion Ballroom.  She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Auburn.  

Elaine enjoyed canning, gardening, baking, cooking and embroidering dish towels.  She also enjoyed with Duane dancing and listening to old time music. She cherished the time spent with her family. 

Elaine passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society in Winthrop, Minnesota, at the age of 87 years.
