Service Information

Elaine Witte, age 88, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019, at her residence in Glencoe, Minnesota.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday January 16, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment following at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019, from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., one hour prior the service at the church.

Obituary

Elaine Norma (Breyer) Witte was born on June 24, 1930, in Bergen Township, McLeod County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Emil and Martha (Kunkel) Breyer. Elaine was baptized as an infant on July 6, 1930, by Pastor J. A. Schert at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Bergen Township, rural Lester Prairie, Minnesota, and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 2, 1944, by Rev. Alf. Streufert at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She received her education in Glencoe, Minnesota, graduating with the Glencoe High School Class of 1948.

On January 16, 1954, Elaine was united in marriage to Lawrence William Witte by Rev. A. H. Fellwock at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. They made their home in Glencoe. Elaine and Lawrence shared over 49 years of marriage until Lawrence passed away on June 16, 2003.

In addition to being a loving wife and homemaker, Elaine worked at the Preiss Clothing Store, Heritage and Temple in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was an active member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe.

Elaine enjoyed reading, fishing and going to Long Lake in Richmond, Minnesota. She also loved Christmas gatherings. Elaine treasured the time spent with family and friends.

Elaine passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019, at her home in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 88 years, 6 months, and 11 days.

Brother, Ernie Breyer and his wife, Jan, of Glencoe, MN;
Sisters-In-Law, Marianne Breyer of Glencoe, MN,
Bernice Breyer of Glencoe, MN;
Nephew, Nieces, Other relatives and friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her Parents, Emil and Martha Breyer; Husband, Lawrence Witte; Brothers and Sisters-In-Law, Dianne Breyer, Arvid and Aroline Breyer, Harold Breyer, Arden Breyer
