Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Glencoe, Minnesota.

Obituary
Elwood “Andy” William Carlson was born on January 14, 1943, in Watertown, Minnesota. He was the son of Richard and Irene (Tester) Carlson. Elwood was baptized as a young child on October 7, 1945, and later was confirmed in his faith as a youth on _March 26, 1961, both at Community Congregational Church in Watertown, Minnesota. He received his education in Watertown, Minnesota, graduating with the Watertown High School Class of 1961. Elwood entered active military service in the United States Army on December 17, 1964, and served his country during the Vietnam Era. His rank was Specialist 4th Class and he received the National Defense Service Medal. Elwood received an honorable discharge on November 28, 1966.
Elwood made his home in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He worked at Seneca in Glencoe, Minnesota, for 30 plus years in the distribution department. Elwood was a member of Church of Peace in Glencoe, Minnesota. He enjoyed gambling, watching sports, playing cards and visiting with family and friends. Elwood was a kind and caring brother.
Elwood passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 7 days.

Elwood was preceded in death by his Parents, Richard and Irene Carlson; Siblings, Glen Carlson, Richard Carlson, Barbara Johnson and her husband, Merlin.

We were saddened to hear of Andy’s passing. We fondly remember his bright smile and hardy welcoming “Good Morning” each Sunday. Such a kind man will be missed.
