Obituary

Eugene Thomas “Geno” Anderson was born on October 14, 1952, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Geno lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and deep devotion to his family.

Geno was the beloved husband of Beverly “Jean” Anderson and a proud father to Angela Anderson and Eric Anderson. He found immense joy in being a grandfather to Evan Willette and Brecken Anderson. His love for family extended beyond his immediate circle; he shared close bonds with his siblings, sisters, Kathy, Mary, Rita, Janice, and Marti; and brothers, Paul and Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Anderson, and his mother, Margaret Ryan Anderson.

Known for his kind heart and bubbly spirit, Geno brought light into every room he entered. He cherished every moment spent with loved ones and made Sundays special with family BBQs that became treasured traditions. Whether casting a line on a quiet lake or cheering on the Vikings and Wolves, Geno embraced life’s simple pleasures. He had a passion for fishing and sports of all kinds and took pride in working on the house, always finding joy in keeping things just right for those he cared about.

Geno’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

There are no words that can express how sorry I am for the loss of my brother. I was Geno’s favorite younger sister. He faced his three-year illness with incredible strength, grace, and unwavering hope. He was truly inspiring with his positive attitude and determination during this challenging health journey. I am at peace knowing he is now free from his suffering and resting in peace. With deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences, Geno will be greatly missed.

I was so sorry to hear that my brother Gino lost his battle from his illness of 3 years. He fought a very hard and long battle. He was so positive during his 3-year illness. He had such inner strength during his battle. I will miss the many conversations we had about our bad baseball teams. It was “always next year” I will miss his smile and positive attitude. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I’ll always miss my brother Gino.

So sorry to see this news. Gino was one of the “uncles”, along with Tim Crowley, Tommy Meade, Jim Preble, etc. We had some great times together during our 20’s/30’s back in Bloomington, MN. RIP Gino. Condolences to family and friends.
