Eunice Gasow

Obituary

Eunice Elaine Gasow was born on January 1, 1932, in Dawson, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Merle and Maggie (Willroth) Rowland. Eunice and her family moved to Gaylord in 1935. Eunice was baptized on April 15, 1949, at the First Congregational Church in Gaylord. She received her education at Country School District #73 through the eighth grade and was a graduate of the Gaylord High School Class of 1950.

On June 27, 1953, Eunice was united in marriage to Alexander Gasow at the United Church of Christ in Gaylord. After their marriage, the couple resided in Gaylord. Eunice and Alex were blessed with three children, Cynthia, Daniel and Patricia. She was employed as a bookkeeper/secretary for Lakes Gas Company in Gaylord. She also did house cleaning and ironing for others. Eunice and Alex shared 61 years of marriage before Alex passed away on October 18, 2014.

Eunice was a member of the United Church of Christ in Gaylord.

Eunice enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and embroidering. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

When she needed assistance with her care, Eunice became a resident of Golden Hearts in Arlington where she passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the age of 92. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at Golden Hearts.
