Fanchon Radtke, age 88, of Lester Prairie, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 27, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, Minnesota, with interment following at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 27, 2016, from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M., two hours prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Fanchon Darlene (Erickson) Radtke was born on November 22, 1927, in Brook Park, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Nickolia and Selma (Johnson) Erickson. Fanchon was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Brook Park, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in the Catholic faith on June 30, 1994, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, Minnesota. Fanchon grew up and received her education at a country school in Brook Park, Minnesota.
On May 20, 1954, Fanchon was united in marriage to Raymond Radtke at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. Fanchon and Raymond’s marriage was blessed with nine children, Renee, Jesse, Charlie, Yolanda, Robin, Stephanie, Lucinda, Rawelin and Jennifer. They shared over 38 years of marriage until Raymond passed away on March 17, 1993.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and homemaker, Fanchon worked at 3M in Hutchinson, Minnesota, and Tonka Toys in Mound, Minnesota. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
Fanchon was free spirited with many artistic talents. She enjoyed painting, decorating, sewing, gardening, country and gospel music, western movies, going for drives, fishing and looking after her grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest and was always on the go. Fanchon always had time for her family. Fanchon loved “her” sense of humor and was known for her jokes. She touched the lives of many people and was so good to everyone.
Fanchon passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted, Minnesota, at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 1 day.

Fanchon is preceded in death by her Parents, Nickolia and Selma Erickson; Husband, Raymond Radtke; Son, Jesse Collins; Grandson, Dane Schultz.
