Faye A. Prieve, age 83, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.

Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Obituary

Faye Ann Prieve was born on October 8, 1941, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Charles and Mary (McNellis) Putney. Faye was baptized as an infant in October of 1941, at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson, and later confirmed in her faith as a youth on September 12, 1957, at Acoma Lutheran Church. She received her education in Hutchinson, and was a graduate of the American School of Chicago class of 1960.

On July 5, 1975, Faye was united in marriage to Samuel Prieve at First Lutheran Church in Dassel, Minnesota. Faye and Samuel resided in Dassel and Humansville, Missouri. They shared 33 years of marriage until Samuel passed away on March 16, 2008.

Faye was employed at 3M in Hutchinson for 15 years before retiring in 1977. Together, Faye and Samuel owned Voyager Tackle in Dassel. She was a member of the Toastmasters Speech Club.

Faye loved being outdoors, puzzles, reading and crafting. She especially cherished time spent with her family and friends.

Faye passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, at the age of 83 years.

Children, Richard Schumann and his wife, Kimberley of Darwin, MN,
Vickie Shoutz and her husband, Mark of Dassel, MN,
Michelle Molin of Indianapolis, IN;
Step-children, Teri Martin and her husband, Jay of Hutchinson, MN,
Jerrie Prieve of Louisiana,
Kari Hamm and her husband, Matt of Blaine, MN;
16 Grandchildren;
19 Great-grandchildren;
Many other relatives and friends.

Faye is preceded in death by her Parents, Charles and Mary Putney; Husband, Samuel Prieve; 11 Brothers and Sisters.

    So sorry for your loss. I was hers (and also her husband Sam’s ) home health aide several years in Humansville Missouri. Sincere condolences and prayers for her family.
