Service Information
Floriene Miklos, age 98, of Fairfax, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017, at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center in Sleepy Eye.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 7, 2017, 10:30 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Fairfax, with interment in Ft. Ridgely Cemetery, Nicollet County, Minnesota.
Visitation will be Friday, October 6, 2017, from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Obituary
Floriene Grace Miklos was born on May 6, 1919, in Odessa, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Emory and Edna (Hamm) VonEschen. Floriene was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education in Odessa and was a graduate of the Odessa High School Class of 1937.
On October 26, 1940, Floriene was united in marriage to Edward Bemmels in Odessa. After their marriage, the couple resided on the farm in rural Fairfax. This union was blessed with three sons, Gerald, Robert, and Kenneth, and one daughter, Betty. Floriene was a loving mother and homemaker. Floriene and Edward shared 35 years of marriage, before Edward passed away on April 15, 1976.
On November 18, 1978, Floriene was united in marriage to John Miklos at the United Methodist Church in Fairfax. After their marriage, the couple resided in Fairfax. They shared 26 years of marriage before John passed away on February 10, 2005.
Floriene was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fairfax, UMW and the church choir. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary in Fairfax.
Floriene enjoyed crafting, playing cards, cooking, especially foods with apples and making caramel rolls, sewing, hosting family gatherings, and was an avid baseball fan. She cherished the time she spent with her children, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Floriene passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017, at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center in Sleepy Eye at the age of 98 years. Blessed be her memory.

Floriene was preceded in death by her First Husband, Edward Bemmels; Second Husband, John Miklos; Daughter, Betty Lehar; Son, Kenneth Bemmels; Sister, Joyce Koch; Brother, Delford VonEschen; and Sister-In-Law, Geraldine VonEschen.
