Obituary

Frederick “Fred” Martin Harms was born on March 27, 1936, in Plato, McLeod County, Minnesota.  He was the son of Martin Henrich and Esther Sophia (Engelke) Harms.  Frederick was baptized as an infant on April 12, 1936, by Rev. H. J. Bouman and later was confirmed in his faith as a youth on April 2, 1950, by Rev. L. T. Wohlfiel both at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg, Minnesota.  His confirmation verse was 1 John 5:4 – “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”  He received his education in Hamburg, Minnesota.  Frederick entered active military service in the United States Army on May 26, 1954, and served his country during the Korean War.  He received an honorable discharge on May 25, 1956.

I was so sadden to hear that Fred had passed away. I remember many times, LuAnn, that you would talk about your ‘hubby’ at work and all the things that he enjoyed doing in life. Rest assured, he is now in Heaven and asking God if there is anything he can ‘fix’. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family as you mourn the loss of your loved one. May God be with you and keep you in His tender care.
