Frederick Allen Bradshaw

Obituary

Frederick (Fred) A. Bradshaw was born on May 1, 1933, in King George, Virginia. He was the son of Silas and Virginia (Brown) Bradshaw. Fred was baptized as an adult and was later confirmed in his faith at St. Brenden’s in Green Isle, Minnesota.  He received his education through the eighth grade and received his GED, when he was in the military.

Fred entered active military service in the Army as an Engineer at Fort Meade, Maryland. He received an Honorable Discharge at Fort Meade, Maryland, and achieved the rank of SP5 (E-5). He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Army Occupational Medal (Germany), and the Good Conduct Medal.

On January 3, 1952, Fred was united in marriage to Maria Dille in Giessen, Germany. This marriage was blessed with five children, Gabriele, Anthony, Patricia, Klara, and Christina. Fred and Maria resided in Green Isle, Minnesota, and then in 1999, moved to Hutchinson. They shared over 55 years of marriage together until Maria passed away on February 28, 2007.

Fred was employed at Whirl-Air-Flow Corporation.  After his retirement he worked at Menards.  He was a member at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, and wood working. Fred especially treasured the time spent with his family, grandchildren and friends.

Fred passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at the Hutchinson Health Hospital in Hutchinson, at the age of 83 years.

Fred is preceded in death by his Parents, Silas and Virginia Bradshaw; Wife, Maria Bradshaw; and Son, Anthony Bradshaw.
