Gary “Huck” M. Gehring, age 64, of Fairfax passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Cedar Heart Homes in Franklin.
A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, July 13, 2025, 2:00 P.M. at the Lions Park in Fairfax.
Obituary
Gary “Huck” Marlin Gehring was born on November 16, 1960, in Waseca, Minnesota. He was the son of Marlin and Beverly “Bev” (Helms) Gehring. Huck received his education in Waseca, Minnesota, where he played baseball and football. He was a graduate of the Waseca High School Class of 1979.
On September 7, 1985, Huck was united in marriage to Cheryl Hansen in Waseca. After their marriage, the couple resided in Fairfax. They were blessed with one son, Joe. Huck was co-owner of Four-Square Builders in Fairfax. Huck and Cheryl would have shared 40 years of marriage in September.
Huck was a scout leader and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He cherished the time he spent with his family.
Huck became a resident of Cedar Heart Homes in Franklin and passed away there on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the age of 64 years. Blessed be his memory.
Huck is survived by his:
Wife, Cheryl Gehring of Fairfax, MN;
Son, Joe Gehring of New Ulm, MN;
7 Grandchildren, Shyla, Kamryn, Dravyn, Brynna, Carson “CJ”, Nolan, and Lynden;
Siblings, Hoot (Clipper) Huntington of Owatonna, MN, Dude (Ed) Jesse of Waseca, MN, and Chik (Roo) Miller of Owatonna, MN;
Many nieces and nephews.
Huck was preceded in death by his Parents, Marlin and Beverly “Bev” Gehring; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Russell and MaryLou Hansen.

Cheryl, I just met you last year at the Lions rummage sale. I am the treasurer for the Lions. I always enjoyed working and joking with “Huck” when he was at 4-Squares. I hope to get to know you better since you are in Fairfax more now! My total sympathies are with you at this tough time.
