Gene “Geno” H. Smith, age 72, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at his home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Obituary
Gene “Geno” Harlan Smith was born on September 1, 1953, in Arlington, Minnesota. He was the son of Harlan and Carol (Wolter) Smith. Gene was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth at St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church in Hamburg, Minnesota. He received his education in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, and graduated with the Central High School class of 1971.
On December 26, 1996, Gene was united in marriage to Teresa Gustafson in Glencoe, Minnesota. They made their home in Glencoe. The couple shared over 29 years of marriage.
Gene worked at TMC Industries, Inc. in Waconia, Minnesota. He enjoyed doing puzzles, spending time sitting outdoors, relaxing, and watching the Minnesota Twins play.
Gene passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at his home in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 72 years, 6 months, and 9 days.

Siblings, Glen (Janet) Smith, Beverly (John) Boehne, Allan (Sharon) Smith, and Dianne (Mike) Breyer;
Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives, and Friends.
Gene was preceded in death by his Father, Harlan Smith; Son, Jerid Smith.
