Gerald M. Schuett, age 78, of Brownton, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, 11:00 A.M., at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton, Minnesota, with interment following in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 9:00-11:00 A.M., two hours prior to the service, ALL at the church.
Obituary
Gerald Martin Schuett was born on October 25, 1946, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Martin and Sarah (Furst) Schuett. Gerald was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton, Minnesota. He was baptized as an infant on November 10, 1946, and later confirmed in his faith as a youth in June of 1960 by Reverend Raysler. He attended Brownton Public School.
On May 11, 1974, Gerald was united in marriage to Avonne Rose at Centennial Lutheran Church in Henderson, Minnesota. They resided on the family farm. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Theresa and Marsha. The couple shared over 51 years of marriage.
Farming and raising Hereford cattle were central to Gerald’s life and brought him great joy. Among his fondest childhood memories were caring for his rabbits, raising pigeons, and tending to his pony, Tony, a cherished Christmas gift from his parents. As an adult, he worked at Green Giant and hauled milk, all while assisting with the many duties on the family farm. Gerald’s lifelong devotion to farming was matched by his appreciation for the friendships and connections he formed along the way.
Gerald passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at his home in Brownton, at the age of 78, leaving behind a legacy of love for family, farming, and kindness. Blessed be his memory.

Wife, Avonne Schuett of Brownton, MN;
Children, Theresa Eitel and her husband, Paul, of Brownton, MN,
Marsha Morsching and her husband, Rev. Samuel, of Phillips, WI;
Grandchildren, Elliott Morsching (11), Sarah Morsching (10), and Hannah Morsching (3);
Brother-in-law, Marlin Rose, and his wife, Joan;
Godsons, Matt Rose and Daniel Weber;
Several Nieces, 1 Nephew, Other relatives, and Friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by Father and Mother, Martin and Sarah; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Mabel and Arthur Rose; In-laws, Marlene and LeRoy Janda; and heavenly grandbabies.
