Gladys Ross, age 88, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, July 30, 2018, 11:00 A.M., at the Litchfield Christian Church in Litchfield, Minnesota. Interment will follow at the Forest City Cemetery in Forest City, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Monday, July 30, 2018, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., (one hour prior to the service), ALL AT CHURCH.
Obituary
Gladys Lillian Ross was born on March 7, 1930, in Cosmos Township, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Roy and Lillian Cecilia (Halverson) Olson. Gladys was baptized as an infant on April 20, 1930, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on October 24, 1943, both at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cosmos. She received her education in Litchfield, and attended the Litchfield High School and later received her GED in 1966.
On October 2, 1951, Gladys was united in marriage to Harold Ross at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cosmos. This marriage was blessed with four children, Wade, Roy, Dale, and David. Gladys and Harold resided in Cosmos, Litchfield, Hutchinson, and Park Rapids, Minnesota. They shared 43 years of marriage together until Harold passed away in April of 1995. Gladys moved to Hutchinson in 2015.
Gladys was employed at 3M in Hutchinson as a plastic molding operator for 27 years. She retired in 1984. Gladys was an active member of the Litchfield Christian Church for 16 years and was involved in Ladies Aid.
Gladys enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and fishing. She also enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and attending Dominoes Club. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
When Gladys needed assistance with her daily care, she became a resident at Harmony River Living Center on June 7, 2015. Gladys passed away there on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at the age of 88 years.

Great-Grandchildren, Jacob Ross, Gracie Ross, Anna Litzau, and Shelby Litzau;
Sister, Ruby Haagenson of Brooklyn Park, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.
Gladys is preceded in death by her: Husband, Harold Ross; Son, Roy Ross; Parents, Roy and Lillian Olson; Brothers, Marshall Olson and Edward Olson; and Sisters, Esther Hanson and Emilie Anderson.
