Gregory J. Hopp, age 47, of Willmar, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Supportive Lifestyles in Willmar.

No Visitation or Service will be held.

Obituary

Gregory James Hopp was born on August 24, 1977, in Litchfield, Minnesota. He was the son of Kenneth and Marsha (Eggert) Hopp. Gregory was baptized as an infant at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brookfield Township, rural Hector, Minnesota, and later confirmed in his faith as a youth at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Litchfield. He received his education in Litchfield and Hutchinson.

Gregory resided in Litchfield and most recently in Willmar, Minnesota.

Gregory worked at More4 Grocery Store in Hutchinson and later doing part-time work at a variety of businesses. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Litchfield.

Gregory enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching different sporting events, his favorite being the Minnesota Vikings. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Gregory passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Supportive Lifestyles in Willmar, at the age of 47 years.

Gregory is survived by his:
Mother and Step-father, Marsha and Gerald Ciesla of Litchfield, MN;
Sister, Beth Graf and her husband, Jim of Hutchinson, MN;
Nephew, Casey Rotzien of Hutchinson, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.

Gregory is preceded in death by his Father, Kenneth Hopp; Grandparents; Uncles and Aunts, Roger Hopp, Lorraine Matheson, Curt Hopp, Dick (Marcene) Hopp; Cousin, Todd Matheson.

    Marsha and family, our prayers for peace and comfort in your grief. I saw a picture once of a young person jumping up out of their wheelchair and joyously running to the heavens. Perhaps Greg has that same journey now. Hugs to all.

    I was of course surprised to hear this. But I’m seeing a young man yet and he is without any pains running to his family in heaven . I will always remember Greg. Prayers to all love ya

    I cannot imagine the depth of pain you must be feeling right now. Losing a son is a heart-breaking experience. … no one should experience Marsha!!

    Marsha and Gerry, Beth and family,
