Obituary

Jacob “Jake” Schwarze was born on August 13, 1983, in Buffalo, Minnesota.  He was the son of Allen “Bear” Schwarze and Diane (Bell) Schwarze.  Jake was baptized as an infant at Zion Methodist Church in Brownton, Minnesota.  He received his education in Brownton, and was a graduate of the McLeod West High School, Class of 2002.  He continued his education at Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minnesota, receiving his Auto Mechanic Degree.

Jake was employed as an Auto Technician at Crow River Auto in Hutchinson for 16 years.  He was an active member and past board member of the Brownton Rod and Gun Club.

As a child, Jake lived in Brownton, Minnesota and later moved to Stewart, Minnesota.  Gardening and fishing were a few of his favorite hobbies along with showing his pony “Snow Ball”. Jake also enjoyed garden tractor pulling with his uncle and aunt, Mark and JoAnn.  He won a Regional Championship in 1999 with his Toro Wheelhorse tractor, “Showtime”.

Jake hunted bear with his neighbor and good friend, Sheridan Petersen, shooting a 250 lb. bear; and enjoyed talking farming with him.  He loved jigsaw puzzles and children; and children loved Jake.  Jake kept his bird feeders full so they would come in and feed. A favorite of his was a family of cardinals that nested in a nearby tree.

In the summer months, Jake would get the grill and smoker ready making delicious grilled turkeys, steaks, and burgers; smoked salmon and beef sticks.

Jake cherished time spent with his family and friends. Above all, Jake loved to socialize.

Jake passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018, at his home, at the age of 35 years.

Blessed be his memory.

Jake is survived by his:
Mother, Diane Schwarze of Stewart, MN;
Uncles, Kirk Bell of Stewart, MN,
             Wayne Schwarze, and his wife, Geri, of Brownton, MN;
Aunts, JoAnn Bishman, and her husband, Mark, of Stewart, MN,
            Sharon Schwarze of Hutchinson, MN,
            Barb Holmberg of PA.
Special Friend, Laura Mallak, and her son, Tobias, of Biscay, MN.
Many cousins and friends.

    Diane ~ I am truly sorry for your loss. I got to know Jake when he was on the Brownton R & G board. He was a pleasant young lad, and I enjoyed talking to him. May Our Lord surround you with His Love and Healing.

    Diane, jake was one of my best friends through our school years. He was a great inspiration to me growing up. I know we kinda went our own ways after school but Jake always has a special place in my heart. I know we haven’t seen each other as much as I would’ve liked but this is heartbreaking just as if I seen him yesterday. Prayers are being sent up. Love jake and your family always. Daric.

    I know Jake as a mechanic / auto technician at Crow River Auto since he first started working there. He was a top notch guy and mechanic. Certainly knew how to do the job right and took pride in what he did.
    I will really miss seeing and talking with Jake. He was one special guy!

    I am so sorry for the loss of Jake. He was a classmate of mine growing up and always had the most caring heart. It saddens me to see such a great person go at such a young age. Sympathies to you and the family of Jake.
