Janice Kiecker, age 83, of Fairfax passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at CentraCare - Redwood Hospital, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, September 9, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Wellington Township, Renville County, Minnesota, with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, September 8, 2025, from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Wellington Township and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Obituary
Janice Marie Kiecker was born on September 27, 1941, at home in Hector Township, Renville County, Minnesota, to Edwin and Rhodella (Kohls) Ahlbrecht. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. Janice started her education in Buffalo Lake School where she graduated in 1959.
Janice married Jerome F. Kiecker on June 24, 1961, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake. The couple resided in rural Fairfax. During their 64 years of marriage, Janice and Jerry were blessed with a daughter and a son.
Janice enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, cooking and baking, along with spending time with her family.
Her favorite job growing up was working at Bridgeman’s Ice Cream Shop in Minneapolis. She also worked at Jackpot Junction in the salad department and enjoyed taking care of her granddaughter, Cheyenne.
Janice passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at CentraCare – Redwood Hospital in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, at the age of 83 years. Blessed be her memory.
Janice is survived by her:
Husband, Jerry Kiecker of Fairfax, MN;
Daughter, Jill Kiecker Bjorklund of Fairfax, MN, and
Son, Kory (Brenda) Kiecker of Hector, MN;
Granddaughter, Cheyenne Bjorklund Sanders of Crystal, MN;
Great-granddaughter, Kaylee Sanders of Crystal, MN;
Sister, Bonnie Zarn of Sleepy Eye, MN;
Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Janice was preceded in death by her Parents, Edwin and Rhodella Ahlbrecht; Sisters, LouAnn and Joni.
